Capital Choice - The Best Hotels in Delhi.

In New Delhi, location is everything! With urban sprawl, congestion and high traffic - where you stay is key. Greener, tree-lined neighborhoods, quiet streets, local parks, views, easy access to market and shopping areas, public transport and distances - are some of the reasons to choose a South Delhi Hotel or on in the tranquil diplomatic areas. Veer away from Paharganj - often touted as city centre but in a unappealling and unattractive part of the city. If you're a backpacker, there are good budget options in Delhi and those should be homestays or B&B's where you can have a more authentic & rich india experience.

Luxury Hotels (Mostly South or Central Delhi)

A beautiful, decadent, palatial hotel- the Leela is an excellent choice if you're traveling solo or as a couple and want to splurge on your Delhi stay. Rooms are plush, opulent and large - with massive bathrooms and 24 hour room service. There are a variety of eating options in-house. We recommend relaxing with evening cocktails at the 'Library Bar' or sunning at the Rooftop Pool with poolside service.

We recommend what is an amazing breakfast buffet or a morning cup of tea overlooking the gardens and birds. The 360 degree restaurant also boasts an excellent sushi chef.

Our Pick

Our suggestions are locality based. The South Delhi neighborhood is the way to go, you're close to everything and there is loads of public transport. Whether you go to a mom & pop B&B or an uber luxury hotel , it helps to be somewhere green and close to all the happening spots.

In a behemoth city, with traffic and congestion on the roads; we suggest quieter and greener locales and also places you're likely to have a more authentic experience. Do note some local neighborhoods are more scenic than others, and some hotel clusters fall in decidedly un-scenic locations.

Write to us @ info@thegreatindianadventure.com for any suggestions on where to stay or TripAdvisor is a good bet.
